A settled resident of Venice since 2014, a local small business owner, and founder of Venice Expressed, a non-profit supporting the arts and community connectedness, I have passionately dedicated to the betterment of this community. I support the ideology that being a part of a community involves advocating for cooperative engagement and actively participating in conversation to enact positive change. We need a multifaceted approach to the escalating homeless crisis, as our blanket approach to such a complex issue is not working. We've acknowledged as a community that there is a crisis, but we are divided in our approach to healing this problem. I recognize that Venice is at a crossroads, and I want to be part of the solution. The decisions we make as a community over the next few years will decide whether we move forward with a unified viewpoint and cooperative efforts, or we become a community fraught with issues brought on by an ever-widening wealth divide. I endorse managed growth and a sustainable Venice where all can live, work, and play.
